January 2025. Dr Cafer Potinci and Dr Kyriakos Platrites are preparing the 2025 action plan of their bicommunal activities in Cyprus. This year they are planning to focus in the environmental awareness and the promotion of nature as one of the more significant elements for mental health development.

An innovative idea of Dr Cafer Potinci is in progress to produce mammal-shapped recycling bins inspired by species of biodiversity of Cyprus. Seal monachus – monachus (endangered) and swarf elephant (extinct) are the first models for this work. The products are promoted to schools and public places in both communities (Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot).

Educational play participating children aiming to communicate the contribution of olive trees in tradition and socioeconomic growth of Cyprus. This action is part of the psychoeducational program Kouris Delta developed by Dr Kyriakos Platrites, clinical psychologist – psychotherapist and Dr Cafer Potinci, biologist – health counsellor.

August 2017. Dr Cafer Potinci and Dr Kyriakos Platrites working together to produce the wooden signs of the Medflora Museum in Limassol.

August 2017. Dr Cafer Potinci is working on one of the main projects of Medflora Museum, which is Orfeas Herbarium.

September 2017. Dr. Kyriakos Platrites and Dr. Cafer Potinci are working on 'Michael’s Hut', which is planned to be a visiting spot at MEDFLORA MUSEUM. This hut will be a model of the huts that shepherds used to live in the Troodos mountains a long time ago.

August 2017. Dr. Cafer Potinci and Dr. Kyriakos Platrites are 'caught in action' preparing Orfeas Herbarium. They place plant specimens in wooden frames and fill them with epoxy resin.

For all plant species placed in Orfeas Herbarium, there are dried specimens, photos detailing the full life cycle of each plant, and text with useful information about the plants (description, usage, tradition).
